Michelle Ball

Assistant Director

Michelle Ball is the newest member of the team joining LWC in August 2006. As Assistant Director, she provides oversight and project management on several of LWC’s initiatives as well as provides coaching and technical assistance, content development, and strategic planning.

Michelle has served nine years in the public sector. Prior to joining The Ohio State University, she was the family and community engagement coordinator for the Ohio Department of Education where she oversaw the state’s outreach efforts for families by collaborating with school districts and community and faith-based organizations, conducting training of trainers events, overseeing the Department’s Parent Advisory Council, and creating a Web site for families. In addition, she was a public relations manager in the Department’s Office of Communication serving as the writer for Dr. Susan Tave Zelman, Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Michelle received her bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Communications from Otterbein College and is currently working on her master’s degree in Public Policy at The Ohio State University. When she is not working and in school, the rest of her time is dedicated to her son, Russell.
